Directions, park rules, hours and the local knowledge our staff hands out at the office every day. Still stuck? Call 760-932-7001 — we like the phone.
We are on Hwy 182 near Bridgeport, California. Turn off Hwy 395 onto Hwy 182 toward Yerington; we are on your left, past the airport. Address: 1845 Hwy 182, Bridgeport, CA 93517. Latitude 38.277, longitude -119.219, elevation 6,472 ft.
Check-in is 2:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM for all accommodations, no exceptions. Overstays are billed an extra night. Come to the office to sign in and we will direct you to your site. Please call ahead if you will arrive after the office closes.
Eleven pull-through and four back-in RV sites, plus seventeen camping sites, most overlooking the reservoir. Full hookups include 50 and 30 amp, water, sewer and Wi-Fi. All sites have a picnic table; all but the pull-throughs have a fire pit. Holidays require a 3-night minimum.
Quiet time is 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM — no outside noise between those hours. No loud music at any time. We are a small park and sound carries a long way over open water.
Bathrooms are open 24 hours. Showers are for guests only and can be purchased at the front office. If your RV has its own bathroom, please use it. With a small local labour pool we can usually clean the bathhouses once a day, so please help us keep the pressure down.
All breeds welcome, no aggressive behaviour. Two pets are included in the site rate; one more is $5 per night. Pets must be leashed outside and never left unattended. Please clean up after them.
Approximately 20 to 22 slips for boats up to 24 feet, a tackle shop and store, rental skiffs, mid-sized boats and pontoons, a launch ramp and plenty of parking. Storage is available. The ramp, docks and fish cleaning station are open only during the hours posted at the marina office.
Average precipitation produces high lake levels in spring and early summer. By late summer or early fall the lake may be too low for the ramp, docks, swimming or boating. Call any time for current conditions — we also have the latest fishing report and will point you at the hot spots.
The RV park and marina are open for the 2026 season. We close for winter, typically mid-November through mid-April. Call to confirm opening and closing dates before planning a shoulder-season trip.
Established in 1924 to serve farmers and ranchers downstream in Nevada, the reservoir quickly proved itself a fishery. It holds rainbow and brown trout plus some Sacramento perch, fed by a rich eco-system similar to Crowley Lake. Trolling, still-fishing and fly-fishing all produce.
From the campground entrance turn right onto Hwy 182, left onto Hwy 395 at the stop sign, then take the first left onto Jack Sawyer Road and follow the dirt road. There is a cement pool by the parking lot and four main pools a five-minute walk away. No glass, no fires, pack out all trash.
California’s best-preserved gold rush ghost town sits in the hills south of us, kept in a state of arrested decay. A short drive from the park and worth a full morning.
Ride out of the park straight onto the trail network. Our signature loop is about 18.7 miles — allow three to four hours. Come into the office and our staff will mark up a map for you.
Late summer and fall fill the reservoir with waterfowl and the occasional bird of prey. Look for western grebes, American white pelicans, white-faced ibis, bald eagles, pinyon jays and Steller’s jays. Ask at the office for the full list.
The renowned catch-and-release wild trout water runs just downstream of the dam — one of the best fly-fishing rivers in the Eastern Sierra.
Mono Lake and its tufa towers, the town of Bridgeport, Buckeye Canyon, and Yosemite’s Tioga Pass entrance are all within easy reach. We are about an hour north of Mammoth Lakes and two and a half hours south of Reno.
Hiking and biking, rock and mountain climbing, photography, horseback riding, and every water sport the lake level allows — sailing, water-skiing, paddleboarding and swimming.
